touch id broken

I dropped my i phone 8 plus and cracked the Touch ID home button. I’ve put the accessible home button on the screen so I can use the phone but I’ve been told the Touch ID can’t be replaced and won’t ever work on this phone again.

Im wondering if this is true or if I took it to an apple store would they be able to have it fixed? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Touch ID demage repair I recently dropped my iPhone 7 accidentally. Every thing is fine and working but the touch id or home button doesn't work. Even the home button is not pressing down. It is never been opened or repaired. Is it possible to repaired or recover the touch ID somehow. The paid repair warranty is still available. Am i able to use the touch ID ever again or not. Regards

How much would it cost to fix Touch ID? My home button works perfectly fine, but anytime I restart my old iPhone 6s, it gives me a message saying Touch ID could not be activated. If I were to bring it to an Apple store, would it cost anything to get this fixed? And if so, how much? I live in the US, Massachusetts to be exact, if that helps at all. Thanks!

Getting Touch ID Back Good Day I have been using an iPhone 6s Plus and I wanted to upgrade so then I recently bought a Used iPhone 8 plus, it has a few minor scratches and a broken back glass, so I thought it was a good deal and I bought it for R4000 and everything was honky dory untill I get home, get it charged up, set up my iPhone ID and everything else and soon as I get to setting up touch ID, the touch ID fails, the phone works fine but the touch ID doesnt work, did a little bit of research and it turns out that if the touch ID was replaced it will never work so I guess the previous owner failed to tell me that, is there anyway that I can actually get my touch ID fixed?
