Clear formatting in Pages

Word has a very simple way to clear the formatting of copied text. Paste -> Highlight -> Clear Formatting.

How does one do this in Pages please?

Menu > Edit > Paste and Match Style

Select the text and double click the Style name you want to force onto the text.

Removing paragraph-format invisibles in Pages document I've just pasted a long bit of column-width text from a web page into a new Pages document. Ealech line from the original is now formatted with an invisible paragraph break. I'd like to remove all of those particular invisibles, but I can't get Find/Replace to accept a copy/paste of the paragraph symbol - instead it highlights all of the "dot" format symbols that create the spaces between words. where is "layout break" command? In Pages 7.3 what is the command to insert "layout break"?Also -in the process "copy formatting" (Option+command+C) and"paste formatting" (Option+command+V)the 'paste' works only affects one line at a time.Is there a new way in Pages 7.3 to make it affect a whole paragraph or whole page?

Pages is not a Word clone, so not only is there no Paste -> Highlight -> Clear Formatting, there is no counterpart. Pages does not have a clue about HTML/CSS syntax, whereas Word does. Your clear formatting solution in Pages is to Edit : Undo (Paste).
