Unable to open Majave OS; Corrupt image file

I am currently running OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. I was able to successfully download Mojave 10.14.1, but when I try to open the download it says it cannot be opened because the image is corrupt. Help!

Need Help--Can't Update OS Corrupt Image .dmg File I recently downloaded an adobe program that created problems on my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro and I ultimately had to delete my hard drive. I was able to boot up Mac OS X (10.8.5) from recovery mode, but I am not able to update the operating system. I've tried downloading OS Mojave and High Sierra from different browsers and an external flash drive, but every time I try to open the file it states that the file could not be opened due to a "corrupt image." I was able to open and install other dmg files (i.e. Google Chrome) without any issues. I've looked at a lot of different forum posts and have not been able to get this figured out. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Updating from Yosemite to Catalina - error message on opening the download package When opening macosupd10.15.7.dmg I get a message stating it couldn't be opened because of 'corrupt image'. I'm stuck. How can I overcome this?

You will need to redownload the file. Be sure to use a fast connection. Try Ethernet rather than Wi-Fi
