Turn off iCloud and Keep Notes?

So I found my answer at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204055#note

"Make a copy of a note on your Mac or at iCloud.com:

1. Open the Notes app and select the note that you want.
2. Copy and paste the text into a document on your computer, such as a Pages or TextEdit document.
3. Save the document to your computer."

Basically, you can only make copies from the iCloud, you can't transfer notes which is ridiculous as you should be able to since the process of moving every note is time tideous but I did it.

Thanks for the reply. My biggest concern is keeping my notes in the Notes app that's currently synced to the iCloud. I removed Notes from the iCloud on my Macbook and all of my Notes disappeared. I want to keep the Notes that's on my phone under a different account so I can remove Notes from iCloud but when I select all of the Notes saved in the iCloud on my phone, I don't have the option to move them to another Note folder of a different account, I'm only given the option to move Notes to other folders in my iCloud account.

So how can I move notes on my iCloud account to a different account on my phone?
