I can't update Numbers on my Macbook air

I cannot download the new Numbers update on to my Mac. I am running on El Capitan at the moment but I am also struggling to update from that too. I have removed thousands of emails and photos to allow more space on my computer. Is there anything else anyone can suggest?

El Capitan doesn't support the latest Numbers. It needs macOS 10.13 or later. Meanwhile you could use Numbers at:

https://www.icloud.com
