Apple Mail in Mojave does not work

When I turn on my iMac and click open Apple Mail it takes at least 5 minutes to open and when I search for something in that app it takes that long or longer to work or simply does not work at all. I am ready to delete everything, it's so frustrating.

iMac 27", macOS 10.14
