VLC on Apple tv

Hello guys,

I bought a 4k AppleTV for the reason be able to play my movies, videos from my Time Caspule direct on my tv. I found recomandation to VLC app as it's the best solution for this. My issue is when I try to see my TC in the app, it's ask me to log in with a user name, password and with a 3rd option as WORKGROUP.

I can't figure out what does it need, tried every possible way as I use my users on my imac but still nothing.

Have you got any idea? Cheers.

There have been five generations (some say six; A1302-1 and -2) of AirPort Time Capsule. Please specify. The A-number should help identify it. A1254, A1302, A1355, A1409, or A1470.

You may want to disable the Wi-Fi access point capability with AirPort Utility, if you want to use it just as a NAS.

Username and Password are possible access credentials that can be set for networked devices. If you have not set a network access username and password for a device, then use the Anonymous Login instead. Anonymous Login tries to log in without specified credentials.

Workgroups are logical peer-to-peer networks on a Local Area Network in SMB networking (non-enterprise). Devices have to be on the same workgroup in order to talk to each other. The default name of the workgroup is ‘WORKGROUP’, but it is editable. If you don’t know, then leave that settings as-is, as the default is probably correct for your setup.
