Goggle Problems

I screwed something up on Google, like when I tap on “view all” to delete history, it does not look the same at all. I basically have to tap on every subject I searched, then tap delete then another page pops up and I have to tap delete again. 2nd, when I tap on images, it used to be you tap, select the arrow, tap on save image. Will not do that anymore, when I tap on the image, all these other options like open in Safari, open in Chrome... it’s getting to where there are too many options. I know I probably tapped on something by mistake in Google settings, so.. on my IPad right now, but if I can screenshot from my IPhone ( and it’s the phone with the problems, sorry) maybe it will be easier to explain the 2 problems. Anyway, in google settings nothing helped, so if anyone basically is a Google expert, please let me know, I get frustrated easily and give up most of the time. Thank You. BASEBALL 8 Hrs away! YAY

Not an iphone problem. It is Google trying to keep a hold of your life. If you log into Google on a computer and go into your account there is an option to delete all your history and data. Do it frequently.

Take time to sign out of your Google account whenever you see your account name in G search in Safari. Tap on Switch Account link then Sign out.

Or create new accounts from time to time. If you don’t have droid phone or gmail delete your google account. You don’t need one.

Never accept invitations to link accounts or share contacts between accounts.

What do u mean log in? I don’t have a Desktop, have IPhone 8 Plus, and Google is on the home screen so I just tap on it and go from there. So if I deleted it, what’s the best way to browse, or ask questions? Please don’t say Siri, I can’t stand it, sorry. I’ve been using yahoo search and that’s ok, but I’m no Bill Gates so maybe I need that book, IPhone for Dummies. :) but thanks very much for the response. Feel free to reply back.

Showing my age, it’s probably called Sign In these days.

If you don’t have a google account then it must be using Safari cookies which you can delete in Settings, Safari, Clear history and website data.

I meant delete your google account not google itself. You can google things anonymously.

Without a computer you will find with most accounts, be it social media, google, sports accounts, shopping and auction accounts, doing anything like clearing or manipulating data or even closing accounts is difficult or impossible.

Its also much easier to backup photos and fix phone problems with a computer preferably a Mac.

I just went into my Google account and I can no longer find the option to delete my old data, only to “pause” its collection. I did however find the delete google account option!
