Mac OS Sierra Has Corrupted my Drive

Hello, Before I start off I do know that my iMac model is quite dated but I'm late to post this as this first started when OS Sierra was launched I had update my iMac and it started having issues such as: Beachballing, applications taking up to 1 minue to load or will bounce for what seems like minutes, status bar and dock will load slowly when logged in, photo booth freezes while recording and mac will beach ball during video recording and the Mac gets hot I have checked its temps I'm not too sure the average temperature of an i5 but my idle temp is around 95-105f also my CPU usage is high at idling it's anywhere from 70-90% and this is where the title comes into place I used disk utility to check my drive and it told me it had been corrupted I can't remember the exact message it was quite some time ago but I did it a couple of times and some results are Ok or it'll say it's damaged

iMac 21.5", macOS 10.12

Do a backup, preferable 2 separate ones on 2 drives. Boot to the Recovery Volume (command - R on a restart). Run Disk Utility and select First Aid. See if there are any errors shown. You may need to run First Aid more than once. Reboot normally.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply        Pastebin

it is not Sierra corrupted the drive but the USER making an inappropriate decision to install Sierra and probably not considering: age of Mac, type and age of the most likely platter hard drive which is most likely dying anyway. Compatibility of Applications installed before the Sierra install, I could go on and on but I think you get the message.

Your computer is most likely savable but you may not have the knowledge or skill set to tackle the job. If you know a Mac Guru , ask the person.
