Apple Watch Complication Unread Messages count is way off.

Hello, the number on my complication is always way off, adding up over time to over 99, while there are no unread messages on my phone.

I have tired re booting, i've tried re-paring, and i've even tried setting it up as a new device.

nothing seems to be helping, is there a setting on my phone I have messed up or something? can anyone help please?

Apple watch not recognizing text messages as read Apple watch series 4 won't clear/mark as read the text notifications that are read on the iPhone. The only way it acknowledges one is if I manually read the message on the watch. There's no way of clearing the notifications either. I've disconnected and reconnected the watch, restarted both watch and phone, and also changed the settings to customer, also had setting to mirror phone. I'd honestly think this should be fixed easily by now and not be an issue with texts not sinking to the iCloud or something that someone mentioned back in 2018. Does apple have a fix for this or a fix coming soon?

Messages not clearing off apple watch after being read on phone. Just got a new apple watch series 6 and set it up last night. Everything was running smoothly and now today I noticed after I read my text messages on my phone they are not being cleared from my watches notifications. I have already made sure all updates are done on both devices as well as restarted my iPhone. Any idea what my next step should be to remedy this solution? I have it set up to mirror my phone.
