Download/Installation error for 10.14.4 with new iMac (Jan 2019) with OS 10.14.3

When doing system update to 10.14.4 (from 10.14.3), I get an installation error immediately. I do not think the download is completed. Earlier I had server timeout errors. Are the Apple servers overloaded?

The 2019 iMacs shipped with a special hardware build of macOS 10.14.4 (18E2034), and the version of 10.14.4 currently available in the Mac App Store, and from Apple servers is 10.14.4 (18E226). Neither the Mac App Store version, nor macOS 10.14.3 will install on this hardware until Apple places the custom (18E2034) macOS release on the Recovery servers for this hardware.

Apple's servers do become overloaded at times, making it impossible to perform an OS update. I suggest you try again using this URL for the download, if you are not already using it:

And I don't think that VikingOSX's comment applies to you, because like me, he was probably assuming that you were saying that you purchased a January 2019 iMac, which we now see is not the case.
