Trying to update my brand new out of the box iMac from 11.3 to 11.4 and it get's hung up on the download about a third of the way and then says remaining download time is 3 days. Then eventually quits and says there was an error. I've restarted a bunch over the last two days and retried. Same every time.
Never seen this before.
Thoughts?

Also, if you have any anti-virus, anti-malware, or cleaners installed, delete them according to the developer's instructions.

Thanks for your reply. FYI, I have blazing fast internet (about 1 gig down) and it's a brand new computer so I only had Photoshop, Lightroom and Plex installed. Still, I booted up in safe mode and got the same result. I'm totally stumped on this one. It always get's hung up on the same spot at about 900MB.
Nice idea but it didn't work. I restarted the Verizon box outside the house as well as the modem and routers. Also the switch hub. I am connected via ethernet so I unplugged and tried over wifi. I actually got about 2 gigs downloaded before it stalled. Better but still stalling. So strange.
Keep the ideas coming.
Connect directly behind the router and avoid all other boxes. If that works, great, although you’ll still need resolve what’s hosed in between.
If that won’t work, you’ll need to loop Verizon in and have them figure out why the router tires out. Maybe they’ll swap the box, maybe they’ll get to the bottom of it, maybe they’ll take the easy way out and blame your internal network.

Some issue with your router/ISP. Give it a kick? (power cycle). Do it to the ISP box too if different.
