New Modem/Router Has Messed Up Time Capsule
I recently threw in the towel using my Time Capsule as my wireless router. I figured if Apple wasn't going to pursue it, then neither would I. To try and summarize - I went from having an Ubee Modem (through Spectrum) and Orbi (NetGear) Router using the Time Capsule as my backup. Spectrum then releases high-speed internet service (+400 Mbps), and I have to switch to a Spectrum modem. I had every intention of using the Orbi Router. Alas, those two do not play well together. I followed Spectrum's advice and installed their router. (Not happy about that, but it works well.) I was able to connect my Airport Express and music streams through the whole house. And then, I waited a couple of days to make sure everything was going well, I hooked up the Time Capsule. I'm able to access it from my iMac and my MacBook Pro. It shows my oldest backup, which is correct.
I am able to connect to my wife's MacBook Air, but it only shows history from yesterday.
When I open up System Preferences, I see another Time Capsule available. When I go to use that one, however, it asked me for a Password. I assume I guessed correctly and typed in the PW for the new router. It connected, but it was as if it was a new backup. Nothing on it.
Am I going to be able to access from that Time Capsule for this machine?
Thanks!
