iMessage confusion

I am completely stumped as to why I am suddenly receiving all my daughters messages, and she is no longer getting them at all. Her friends text her apple ID account and it goes to my phone. I am suddenly on all of her group texts, under my apple id (not hers), and she is no longer on them at all. I have checked our settings, and both of our phones appear to be set up correctly with our separate Apple ID accounts, correct emails/contact information. I do not see any of her contact info under my "reachable at" menu, and I do not see my information on hers, but I am getting her message instead of her. I have no idea how to fix this. I've looked through the settings for hours on multiple occasions and nothing appears to be wrong, but we are obviously not functioning correctly. Anyone have any ideas??

It sounds like you are not currently sharing an Apple ID (good!), but you did at one time.

The person who got the new Apple ID needed to thoroughly and completely cleanse her/his iOS device(s) as follows, and then “move in” with her/his stuff. This sounds like the step that was omitted and needs to be done now.
