Missing News App after 12.2 update - iPhone 6 overseas

Hello -

I live in Oman. I have been using Apple News here for some time by changing the regional settings to United States. This has always worked fine.

However, after installing iOS 12.2, the news app has disappeared and I can't get it back. I still have my regional settings set to United States. I have tried changing those and changing them back, but it still doesn't work. Of course, I have tried restarting as well.

The new News works fine on my iPad Air 2 and MacBook Pro here so it doesn't seem to be in the app itself.

Any ideas?

Again, it works on my iPad and MacBook here.. It worked fine before the 12.2 iOS update.

Actually, there is a well-known work around:

It just stopped working on my iPhone 6. It works fine on other devices.

I didn’t say they wasn’t a workout. Just it’s not officially available in your country. I suggest your work around is now not working.
