Help>FaceTime Live Photo’s

I am trying to turn on FaceTime live photos and it’s not working. I watched videos and guides on how to turn it on but when I go to the FaceTime app>preferences> the checkbox to allow Live Photo’s is grey and unavailable. Please help.

Note: To capture a Live Photo, both you and the other person on the call must be using the latest version of either macOS 10.13.6 or macOS Mojave 10.14.4, or iOS 12.1.4.
