iMessage freezes for couple of seconds when I open it on macOS Mojave Version 10.13.3

Please help, I have tried force to quit method, restarting my mac, nothing is working.

In addition to that, the whole mac freezes, not just the app itself.

MacBook Pro 13”, macOS 10.14

iMessage freeze/pinwheel - MacBook Pro Mojave 10.+++ This says solved on earlier queries -- but it's not. Messages hangs terribly (10-15s!!) almost every time I try to use it. 10.14 and .15 seemed like a modest improvement -- but it's not "fixed." Any news on how to fix this for once and for all? Is it even on Apple's radar for the next update??

Messages app keeps freezing upon opening on Macbook Pro Every time I open my imessage app on my Macbook Pro, it keeps freezing each time. I would freeze for about 5 seconds each time and then return back to normal. I have already tried restarting my computer and using safe mode- the problem has been going on for weeks. Does anyone have solutions?

LOL, i Just updated yesterday my mac to 10.14.14 and it got solved :D

I had the exact same problem happen to me. Recently I updated my computer to 10.14.4 and it seems the problem has gone away.
