apple notes jumps to top of page - how do I make it stop?

Just bought an ipad pro with the new apple pencil. I'm trying to use Apples Notes app for general note taking, but it's nearly impossible to use because the page keeps jumping back to the top as I'm trying to write. At first, I thought i didn't like my hand or arm resting on the screen. Then I tried writing without touching the screen at all with the exception of the pencil. The screen continue to jump to the top.

I turned the ipad off and back on. Problem persisted.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Notes app. Problem persisted.

The ipad software is up to date.

What do I do from here? Surely Apple has an answer for this!

I got in touch with apple support and here's what they had me do to fix this issue: Go to Settings > Apple ID > iCloud and turn off the slider switch for Notes. It asks are you sure as the notes from the cloud will be deleted from the local iPad. I proceeded and the notes were deleted. I then turned the slider switch back on, and the notes reappeared. Since that was done, I have had no problems with the notes page jumping to the top.

Try this: Settings > General > Accessibility and ensure that Zoom is turned off

I'd recommend scheduling an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar and show them what you're experiencing.

iPad Pro with Face ID. I have tried hard reset and it has not work. I have tried reset all settings and it did not work either. I am currently in the process of factory resetting my iPad in hopes that it may solve the issue.

I am glad this worked for you. I just tried this and regrettably it doesn't work. In my case I have been using notes successfully for over 1 year and this has just started happening. Now (after trying the above) I cannot get through one letter before the screen jumps upwards and I find I am writing over old text.

Please help - I use this facility ALL the time and since I got this iPad, I now have NO paper at all for my job! Please help me keep apple's great reputation!!
