Photos application on MacBook

I have set up a Quick Action to convert HEIC to JPG images. However, I don't seem to be able to use Quick Actions on images within the Photos application. Anyone able to do this?

In Photos you call the Automator actions from the menu "Photos > Services". The Quick Actions are for the Finder.

To convert the HEIC files in Photos you JPEGs you need to export them from Photos and then to reimport the exported JPEG. Photos does not allow you to modify the imported originals. It will only create new versions, if you want adjust or modify a photo, but never modify the original. It is a part of the lossless workflow in Photos, that we always can revert to the original.
