Since updating to iOS 12.2, all gifs I send come across as small to the recipient. Low image setting is off, mms setting doesn’t effect it, I’ve reset network settings - nothing works. However, when on Wifi, the recipient receives the full size gif.
Worth noting, I’m on AT&T and the new 5Ge setting is active.
I have unlimited data and am not being throttled.

Yes- Re-install GIPHY app first and then shut down phone/restarted - which worked.
Good news Small Gif Support Group.... downloaded latest IOS update today and seemed to resolve the issue! thanks apple.
Eric- I just fixed it on mine. Made some changes earlier and hadn’t tested yet but just got a confirmation that it worked. Not sure which one did it but I deleted and re-installed giphy app and shut down and restarted my phone.
Yeah - it's AT&T sending them in shrunken format. They know and they don't care. They're saving bandwidth. - Mark

Ah. Sorry to hear that. I worked with Apple Support over the weekend on this and they asked that I reset the phone and set it up as new - but they admitted it was a shot in the dark - so I didn't do it. I really think it has something to do with the underlying 5Ge settings that were delivered with 12.2. It's just very odd that it's effecting some but not all iPhones...
I think this all has to do with AT&T - they havent been any help when calling for assistance - would really think Apple & ATT should address this together as it is apparent there is an issue with how the network is handling data from our hardware/software.
I've been having this problem ever since updating to the latest ios and now being on this bogus 5Ge. iPhone X with ATT, checked all my settings, low resolution is OFF, using GIPHY or copy pasting from google image doesn't matter. my gifs look fine from my side of the text, but they're being recieved as very small and low quality. i believe this has to do with carrier settings and limiting data transfer sizes. Is a fix being worked on, or has anyone corrected this? HELP!

If the recipient if non-iOS user he will receive converted gif which could be small. For iOS users the GIF will be as it was sent.
Just to add to this - I am having the same issue. Confirmed that the recipients are iOS users. I am on latest ios 12.2 and am using the latest updated version of GIPHY app. Verified one of the recipients also is using AT&T 5Ge and can send gifs that come through in correct size.
I have an iphone x. Quite annoying because others that I am comparing to in order to help troubleshoot are running same ios version, latest giphy, same network, even same messaging and cellular settings. Not quite sure what could have happened.

Performed erase all content and settings and set up as new device. Issue persists.
This is so frustrating. I don't know if it's the latest update, the 5Ge tomfoolery or what. I talked to Apple support for an hour and they couldn't figure it out. I've tried erasing all settings, then wiping my phone. Nothing is working. I am a master at making people laugh with my GIFs and now they are all laughing AT me! Please help!!
