CD drive won't read any disc
I insert a TurboTax Deluxe CD into disc drive. It spins and hums, then ejects the disc. There is no image on screen and nothing is in the Applications file

If the same thing happens with other CDs then your optical drive is failing (or perhaps just dirty). If other CDs work then the Turbo Tax CD may be faulty. You could try using an external optical drive.
