I seem to have lost all of my mailbox folders

I'm running Mac OS Mojave 10.14.4. One day my mail looked just the way I set it up. The next day when I logged into my mailbox all of my mailbox folders that I had set up just disappeared. What happened? I don't recall clicking on anything that would have ended in that result.

Probably need a little more info regarding type of account etc to get more response, but as a starter have a look at this, it talks about mailboxes being hidden (if using On My Mac) and Re Indexing.

This may also help.

I'm no Mail expert but the above may get you going until others come along, best of luck.
