Lightning port replacement
My 5s will not charge unless I hold the cable at a certain angle. Took it to the nearest AASP (I'm from India). They did some testing and said that the unit has to be replaced and quoted an insane amount for it. Then took it a local service guy and he told me that the lightning port is damaged and he can replace it with a genuine port for 1500 rupees (around $20). It sounds tempting but is it a good idea to get it fixed outside? My phone is out of warranty anyway.
