iPhone 6S random shut downs and dying fast

Hello,

Within the few months my iPhone 6S has had several random shut downs and issues with the battery dying very fast. I’m on iOS 12.2. Things like FaceTime will drain is very fast. There has also been several times where I have unplugged it when at 100% & it goes down to 1%. Then after restarting it goes back up to 100%. I had my battery replaced last February and it is still at 93% of max capacity. I have tried updating and restoring from iTunes with no success. Have tried with both performance management on and off. Just at a loss for words at this point, the only thing I could think is something with the power management chip in the phone unless anyone knows of some known issue I am unaware of.

Thanks

iPhone 6s, iOS 12

Hey there CollinJDM,

Whilst the battery health tool is a really nice piece of diagnostic software to have on the iPhone, it isn't 100% indicative of what the issues might be - as you said, you have 93% Capacity but are still seeing issues.

Since you've done most of the troubleshooting issues, it might be worth phoning up Apple support to asking the technician to do a remote diagnostics and see if that brings up any issues. If not, conclude with asking him to book you an appointment at your local Apple / Apple Partner store.

I hope you get your issue fixed.
