Itunes freezing and Apple Music not responding

As of today, I can't play my Apple Music items. iTunes says I must be logged in to do so. That is fine, as I am already logged in. However, if go in, log myself out and then log back in, iTunes freezes and becomes entirely unresponsive. Never had this issue before. On Mojave 10.14.4 on a 2014 mac mini. Lots of disk space (80% available). All updates applied. I'm thinking a recent update has broken iTunes?

Hello, Jujubeens4489.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

From what I've read, you're having issues with iTunes and playing Apple Music. I have some suggestions that may help and for each step I recommend make sure to test to see if that issue is resolved. . First, I'd run First-Aid using Disk Utility and check your hard drive: Repair a disk using Disk Utility on Mac

Also, see if this occurs if safe mode and a test user account:

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac

Let me know what happens with these steps.

Cheers!
