I suddenly lost sync for my emails between my MacBook Air running Mohave v 10.14.4 (18E226) and iPhone 6 plus. I do not have automated updates turned on since I do not have high speed internet, but my laptop seems to have been updated with my hotspot (using up most of my data.)

Thanks. For some reason, my gmail box was offline so clicking all mailboxes online resolved it. I am still a little spooked about the macbook seemingly updating when I have automated updates turned off!
