dictation is duplicating what I say

When I dictate something it's duplicated it's duplicated.. That's an example of exactly what's happening.. You can see the periods are You can see the periods are duplicating.. My dictation was working fine until I did the latest update last night. Suddenly this morning, everything I dictate is being duplicated. If someone could suggest a fix it would be very much appreciated.

There is no fix for this issue, Apple refuses to fix the issue. This is not what we paid for...

Happened to me as well. I turned off voice control and it corrected it

Then your eyes spotted an imaginary offence by proxy and then put different words matching what you were feeling.

We had this problem too. It was coming from sitting too close to the screen, and the microphone was picking up an echo.

SOLVED: This simple solution worked for me. I'm running Big Sur with MacBook Air with the M1 Apple silicon.

Turn Off Key Repeat Under Keyboard Preferences.

Click the Apple menu, then go to System Preferences > Keyboard.
Drag the slider to Off.
