As the title says I've got a "Macbook Pro 13" 2017 Non Touch Bar" machine and it is 18 months old (6 months out of warranty) and I am receiving the "Service Battery" message. I have also used the online checker to see if my machine is eligible for a free replacement due to defects but unfortunately it isn't. The only thing I think that I am yet to do is run a clean install of MacOS which I'm reluctant to do as this can be quite time consuming. MacBook Air battery not working I haven't used by MacBook for years and when I started using it , its battery does not work and got the message for service recommendations. I bought this MacBook Air last year. Can any one help me on it

Hi,

Resetting SMC could solve the issue.
