Macbook Pro 13" 2017 Non Touch Bar - Service Battery
Hi All,
Wonder if someone can help me here...
As the title says I've got a "Macbook Pro 13" 2017 Non Touch Bar" machine and it is 18 months old (6 months out of warranty) and I am receiving the "Service Battery" message.
I have already recalibrated the battery that removed the message for about 2 days then it was back. I have also reset the SMC but this doesn't appear to change anything.
As you can see below from my battery stats it hasn't even completed 200 cycles yet and I am already getting this message. When not plugged the battery lasts for 90mins on average, a few months ago I was getting 6-7 hours with moderate use i.e. web browsing, watching videos, etc.

Apple are telling me that I need to pay 7,500THB to get the battery fixed, which to me seems pretty unreasonable considering it is barely out of warranty and the battery hasn't taken a pounding.
I have also used the online checker to see if my machine is eligible for a free replacement due to defects but unfortunately it isn't.
The only thing I think that I am yet to do is run a clean install of MacOS which I'm reluctant to do as this can be quite time consuming.
Are there any other options available other than coughing up the cash?
Many thanks
Laurence
