In Chrome, sharing webpage by email

Used to be that, when I send a webpage link from my Mac using Google Chrome (File>Share>Email Link), Chrome automatically selected Apple Mail to send the link. Now Chrome is selecting Gmail to send the link. I want to change it back to Apple Mail, but how?

Sharing URLs using Mail As long as I have the Chrome Browser on my laptop, (not designated as main browser though), when I share a URL by email, it defaults to Google Mail! It used to default to Mail. I have not changed my preferences for having Safari as my default browser. If I want it to default to Mail for sharing, I have to trash Chrome on my laptop, which I don't want to do because I administer some gmail accounts commercially for a living and accessing them is much easier using Chrome. What has changed and what can I do? Thank you.

How do I make gmail in safari my default share email? I want to share a webpage by emailing it. I select email, and it opens Firefox instead of Safari, and I'm not able to send the email. So how can I get it to use Safari instead of Firefox to open my Gmail and send the webpage I want to share?

Setting Gmail as default in Safari for forwarding links When I try to "mail" links in Safari it always defaults to Apple Mail. How can I change it to Gmail?

Open your email client and set the default client to Mail.
