How to Copy Custom Monitor ICC Profile into 10.11x El Capitan

How do I copy a custom monitor ICC profile into Root directory> System> Library> ColorSync> Profiles

i keep getting a circle with slash (not possible)

the goal is to make the profile available in Users' System Preferences> Displays> Color> Display Profile (and Photoshop)

ICM Profiles what folders is used for the monitor to pick up the profile? Mac mini (Late 2012) I've calibrated my monitor (using X-Rite, i1-Studio), the ICM profile (BenQ SW2700_20220106.icm) has been stored in my user ~/Library/Colorsync/Profiles (User folder) by the X-Rite application. I also came across the system level folder "/Library/Colorsync/Profiles" (System wide). What would be the correct folder to use so that the new ICM profile is picked up and used by my BENQ monitor? And, how can I determine what ICM profile is in use or applied to the monitor? Any assistance / direction would be most kind. Thank you. Stephen

Libraries in Ventura 13.2.1 In past Mac OS there have been two Libraries. One at HD/Libraries and another one at HD/Users/xxxxxxxx/Libraries. It looks like the one following HD had default material and the one at HD/Users/xxxxx/Libraries had info from added software. I have a question for M2 and Ventura 13.2.1 Where are the monitor profiles? I have created custom profiles for 2 new monitors and I want to inspect the profiles. They are not in HD/Users/xxxxxx/Library where they should be as there is no Library folder there. They are not in HD/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Monitors either. System Settings/Displays tells me the monitors are using the custom profiles but give me no access to the profiles for inspection. Any thoughts? Another issue is added to this, cache files for Nikon NX Studio are also supposed to reside in the HD/User/xxxxxx/Libraries location but again, according to finder, this Libraries location doesn't exist, yet the cache files are being populated somewhere but I can't find out where. Again, suggestions?

Adding more 'display profiles' to Macbook Pro I've recently replaced my MacBook Pro for a newer model (2018). Side-by-side the vividness of the two displays are very different. My old MBP is using 'Apple RGB' while the replacement has 'Colour LCD' selected. I tried changing my new MBP to 'Apple RGB' but it only has one profile (Colour LCD) to choose. FYI my old laptop has 27 profiles. Where do I find the additional profiles in particular 'Apple RGB' and how do I add them to the new MBP? Help - Thanks!

with Finder running

GO (push/hold Option key) drop down to Library> ColorSync> Profiles (drag and drop the profile here)

I was apparently hitting anomaly when i wasn't getting the authenticate option

but it is working now as expected

the preferred method to place monitor profiles is in

StartupVolume> Library> ColorSync> Profiles> Displays

there the monitor profile will be available to all user accounts
