IOS mail banner alerts stop functioning for Outlook 365 account

This is the third time that my iPhone 7+, IOS 12.2 stops displaying banner notifications either on the Home screen or pop-ups and all I get are audible notifications for my Outlook 365 account. The only fix I have found that is reliable is to delete the entire account and reinstall. I see others who have struggled with this issue! This is extremely annoying. Thanks.

I have done the following:

rebooted phone
disabled and re-enabled notifications
DND is not on!
All other banner notifications continue to work just fine

You have left me guessing on few parameters, however

Check whether you have any rules created for moving incoming emails to subfolders.
1. If so, you may have to disable it. Because Notifications are only for mails in the Inbox. and not for its subfolders
2. Mails which move mail to Junk folders automatically will not receiver any alerts
If you are using third party Mail App in stead of Apple Mail App, then the behaviour of Notifications will depend on the settings inside the App. You may contact the app developer here --> App Support for further assistance.

Thank you for you response.

Notifications are not being generated for message being delivered to my Inbox. Please be aware that this was working and then stops working all of a sudden for no apparent reason.
Not using a third party app. Using Apple's native Mail application
I am not a fan of Outlook for iOS mobile app.
