I have an Apple Watch Series 4 with LTE cellular connection. Most of my apps work fine when I'm out and about with only my watch. However, when I try to open the inbox of my Outlook email, it just gets stuck on "loading" forever. If my iPhone is nearby it loads fine.
Does Outlook not work over LTE?
Yes, it works fine when my phone is nearby. But if my phone is out of range, it just says "Loading..." forever. When you say it works fine on your watch, have you tried it when your watch is connected to LTE (cellular) and your phone is off or out of range?
1. On your Watch Series 4, delete the Outlook application.
2. On your iPhone, open the Outlook app -> Settings ->Accounts.
3. Tap on your account. I only have one account and am not sure what would happen if you have more than one account.
4. Scroll down to "Reset Account" and reset it. Wait for it to complete.
5. Go back into Watch app on iPhone and (re)-install the Outlook app.
6. Should work now.
These instructions seems to be copied from a previous post I found online, but that was for Outlook not syncing, even with the phone nearby. My questions is specifically: Can the Outlook app use LTE without a phone nearby?
This is an issue for Microsoft to address.

When I researched this issue a number of others have been compiling about your issue for some time and stated they were waiting for Microsoft to address this issue.

Sorry you asked if I tried on cellular. I said. no but it does work correctly connected to Wi-fi or Bluetooth
