Question

system software from developer marvell semiconductor Inc was blocked from loading

Lacie Big6 worked fine one day then next it did not load.

Called Lacie they said buy new cables and adaptor. Did. and did not help.

I have an imac running 10.13.6 using tb2 to tb3 adaptor to connect to drive.

I called lacie again to let them know, they said look in my sys prefs and there is it.

although clicking allow does nothing even when I have the lock unlocked below. it just toggles on and off.

restarted, disconnected, and all the other variations goes nowhere. drive works, it connects with usb, but can only read one raid with usb. need tb to see all raids.

what do i do to fix this?

OH MY GOSH. THANK YOU!!!!

It was an addon tool that was blocking it. turned it off and the allow button worked .WHOO HOO!!!

High Sierra Media Key Enabler was the tool.

AGAIN THANK YOU for bring that to my attention, had no idea that could/would be an issue.

Reboot to allow the tool to load?

If not... Any other add-on tools that might be intercepting your clicks?

I did mention I (restarted, disconnected, and all the other variations goes nowhere.) I guess rebooting is the correct word not restart?

but I did that several times before posting the problem. thank you though.

De nada.

Whatever happened here could definitely have better diagnostics. I'd guess that this was Apple blocking a click arriving via an add-on tool—as that block would be necessary to prevent a nefarious tool from self-approving its own kernel extension—but... you've got it working.
