Hello, I have a Mac air of 2013, version 10.11.

I would like to use my voice to enter text on your Mac.

I can't find speech to text in the system preferences. Where can I find it? Thanks

You should have a Preference Pane called 'Dictation & Speech':

(This is from Mavericks but it should be basically similar). Just turn it on and set up a shortcut to enable it when you want it (what you see is a custom one, there are some preset ones to choose from or you can create one).

It's worth turning 'Enhanced Dictation' on - it will work better and faster; it will involve a fairly large download first.
