Can't clear voicemail notification

I’ve checked my missed calls, listened to my voicemail, checked my contacts and restarted my phone. The notification persists.

Hi there brookefromplymouth,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I understand the notification badge on your Phone app will not go away, even after restarting and checking your missed calls and voicemail. I’ll be happy to help with this.

When you open the Phone app, do you see a notification badge on any of the tabs along the bottom row? If not, go to Settings > Notifications > Phone and turn off Badges. Restart your iPhone and turn Badges back on in the Notification settings and see if this helps at all. Check out this article for more info:

Use notifications on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Also, make sure you’re on the latest iOS version as well. Go to Settings > General > Software Update. If an update is waiting, back up your iPhone, and then download and install the update. That could also help resolve this issue as well.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Best wishes.
