iMac stuck in setup

My new iMac is stuck in setup for 2 hours after giving my Apple ID.

I shut off the power and unplugged the power cord. Turned it back on and it finished loading. But it doesn’t go further.

iMac 21.5" 4K, macOS 10.14

You have 90 days of complimentary AppleCare telephone support, why haven't you called Apple?? If you were not aware of this, then please review Complimentary AppleCare Support

IMHO I'd return the computer for an exchange. Setup Assistant should take less than an hour to setup.

new computer. store transferred my information from MacBook Pro to computer. when I first used it my pages and numbers did not work. I cannot open it and on the bar I see questionmarks.

The "bar" is called the Dock. You can give AppleCare a call and they will help you install Pages & Numbers.
