Microsoft Office for Mac and older Word for Mac

I just installed Mojave on my iMac. I've been using Micosoft Word for Mac 2011 but I gather it won't work much longer. I understand the most recent version of Microsoft Office for Mac is compatible with Mojave. If I download it, will I still be able to read and edit documents I created with the 2011 edition of Word?
