iPhone XR not joining mesh network between rooms

Hi,

I am having issues with automatic switching between access points in a Wi-Fi mesh network when I move from room to room (seems to stay connected but no connection or internet access actually passes through).

The phone should switch connection to the nearest access point on the mesh network, but when moving about the house, the phone seems to fail to switch even though it shows full wifi signal.

All internet is lost as if the phone is stuck switching from one point to another.

I am totally fine on my iPad Pro and my old iPhone 7 Plus. Only an issue with the XR...

My only workaround currently is to turn airplane mode on then off to force the phone to connect to the new access point, but this is far from ideal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
