I have an iPhone 8 Plus and when I go to play music it just keeps pausing itself and won’t play

What’s the source of your music, streaming or content (mp3) on the device, if the former it could be a network issue, you could try “Reset Network Settings”.


If it’s content on the device, have you checked the file you are trying to play, does it work on another device, if ok then you could try a Forced Restart.

If you are playing your content via the Music App then you could delete and then go to the App Store and re-download (check it’s there first though), search for Apple Music.
