Mail app is not connecting to any of the IMAP and SMTP

I'm currently already up to date to the latest macOS Mojave 10.14.4

My mail servers all failed to connect to 3 of my IMAP accounts, except for my exchange account (@live.com) that is working completely perfect.

I am able to receive mails for the 3 IMAP email accounts, but I could not send out any.

Webmails for these 3 domains are working perfectly.

Even if I tried to remove and add the accounts again manually, I will be stuck at the Verifying Server Settings forever, and after 20-30min, it will prompt me "Unable to Verify Server settings". The only way right now for me to add the emails in, is that I have to install the profile configuration file provided from my email domain provider.

In the mail connection doctor, I will repeatedly get "Could not connect to this IMAP server, Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the Account preferences. Also verify that the server supports SSL, If it does not, deselect the Use TLS/SSL tickbox in the Server settings tab of Account preferences.

I've tried to contact apple support and was escalated to the senior tech support, and after many hours of consultation, my final advice from them is to reformat my computer and see what I get.

Would like to try one last time to request for help from the community if there is any other options/solutions I can attempt. I am unable to reformat the macbook at the moment until another 2 months or so due to some ongoing projects and I don't wanna risk any thing now.

Please help me!

So these are things we tried:

1) Deleting the account and adding them again
2) Create a test account and tries to add them again
3) Tried using a different internet connection
4) Tried to log in into a different mac (it works but just not on my own set)
5) Tested it number of times on webmail, it stil work fine
6) All 3 email domains/provider is different

You either wait for your opportunity or in the effort to resolve the issue— I encourage you to have a current backup in the off chance you have to fall back. Preferably more than one single back-up device and more than one methodology to cover your bases.

2 thoughts —if this is a corrupt plist. Quit mail. From the Finder>Go>Go To Folder, copy and paste:

~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist

move this plist to your desktop (in the event you want to move it back) this will create a new plist. Launch mail.app and test.

If this does not resolve the issue, take the next step as follows:

Quit mail.

Finder>Go>Go to Folder, copy & Paste:

 ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.mail

Highlight all the contents in this folder (command A will select all, this will be the container.plist & Data folder in it's entirety)

Then right-click and choose "New Folder with Selection”. Do not move the new folder from this current location.

You can close the Finder window.

The next step will be to restart the Mac after the computer is restarted, open the Mail.app and test.

You need to list what it is you have tried at the suggestion of many hours w/ senior tech support—

or do we risk simply repeating the same options— like a game of whack-o-mole.
