Macbook pro 13" 2017 pop sounds
The sound itself is like a sound of static electricity discharge. It is not loud, but very distinct. This sound comes randomly from left or form right speaker, but never from the both. It comes even when sound is muted by the mute button or sound level set to zero. The power of the sound is always the same and not depends on the system sound level settings. This is definitely NOT the screen’s hinge, like many people here complain - it’s not so loud, it’s random and not depends on the temperature of the case.
I have this issue from the very begin of use this machine and it often comes when you stop playing something or after notification sound from system or messengers but in random order - sometimes you have it, sometimes not. For firs time I was thinking that it is software issue. It was rare, and while being at Genus Bar in Rome at January of this year I can’t demonstrate it. They tested laptop and found no issues. Today (16.04.19) it started to occurs quite often - every 2-3 minutes while I’m working with laptop, so I managed to catch it on the video. The next thing is more interesting. You can connect earphones and that eliminates that pop sound from the speakers. I tried to listen to the case speakers while also listened by one ear to the single earphone. While earphones connected - no such pop sound from case speakers and you can't catch it in earphones, but no absolute silence in earphones - repeating different slight pop in background like when you switch on amplifier and then switch it of every 8-10 seconds. When you disconnect the headphones the sound starts to come again randomly from the top case speakers - the left or right. What's the issue, Apple? I try to close everything, to reboot to clean SMC, reset NVRAM or PRAM - no effect.
It seems like a tricky hardware fault that hard to catch and Apple ignores that issue. I founded several cases like mine on YouTube and forums. I had some problems with keyboard on this machine - and Apple replaced it for free. Thanks a lot. But now this pop noise and my warranty has ended in February. It is definitely something wrong with this new generation of the macbooks. Completely dissapointed :(
