Can't subscribe to podcast in itunes

The subscribe button in itunes on my Mac doesn't seem to be working. Love any advice or help. Thanks!

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're unable to subscribe to podcasts using iTunes on your Mac. I know it's important to be able to add new podcast subscriptions; I'd like to help. First, if you haven't already, verify that you're signed in to iTunes with your Apple ID; open iTunes, then choose Account from the menu bar at the top of your computer screen and check for your Apple ID.


If you're signed in with the correct Apple ID, next I'd suggest quitting iTunes and restarting your Mac: How to force an app to quit on your Mac

After restarting, test again to see if the behavior with subscribing to podcasts continues. If so, try signing out of iTunes, restart your Mac, then sign back in: Sign in to the App Store and iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, PC, or Apple TV


When you've signed back in, test again to see if you're able to subscribe to a new podcast. If not, use these steps to test for the behavior in a new user account: How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac
