No notifications on WhatsApp calls

Hello everyone

I am facing a quite strange problem:

Before I had iPhone 8 with an old Series 1 iWatch. There was no problems at all with the WhatsApp notifications - no matter with the messages or calls.

Before a few months I have changed my iWatch to Series 4 and after that I am not receiving any notifications on WhatsApp calls!

Usually I am keeping my phone with switch off sounds (the iWatch as well) so i am counting on the vibration of the watch on my hand.

All other notifications are OK - only the WhatsApp calls aren’t.

I have checked around the net for an solution - no result.

WhatsApp is explaining that all notifications are “controlled and delivered” from iOS side and Apple it’s explaining that there is no WhatsApp app for iWatch...

Could someone tell me - why my old watch was working without problems and the last generation don’t?

Just for info - all softwares are updated to the latest versions and all notifications are activated!

I have WhatsApp on my Watch as well and have no problems with Notifications. Your problem may have happened after your last

Update. Try resetting your Watch by pressing in the crown and side button until you see the Apple logo, then release both.

I have OS 5.2 You say you have the Series 4...if so you should be able to install OS 5.2....make sure to update your iPhone to IOS 12.2 first . Also, if you have WhatApp on your iPhone it will be in your Watch App on your iPhone. Go to your Watch App and tap on Notifications.....scroll all the way down to WhatsApp....make sure it's on.

I am already updated to 5.2

The only possible adjustment for WhatsApp in my watch app is Notification On/Off.

And - of course - it’s On.

Actually my wife have also Series 4, but with iPhone 7 and have the same problem.

WhatsApp message notifications are OK, WhatsApp call notifications are not there...

I don't recall ever receiving a Notification for a video call on my Watch prior to the latest update. Like you I upgraded from an Original Watch to the Series 4.

I just had a friend video call me and I did not receive a Notification on my Watch.

Yes - I have all this thinks done!

But - the problem is not with the messages - I have notifications for it. That means that all the adjustments are done!

Only the notifications for WhatsApp calls are not there! It looks like Apple have take this notifications out!

On the phone, when you go to the watch app and select my watch, tap the WhatsApp app and make sure that is set correctly. See and respond to notifications on Apple Watch - Apple Support
