Facetime notification wont go away on ipad

FaceTime badge notification won’t go away. I’ve deleted all of my call history in the app. I’ve deleted the app and re-installed it. I can’t find where you can alter the notification settings for FaceTime. I’m running version 12.2. Help it is annoying me. I’m thinking of just deleting the app permanently.

I think that I have tried this before but I will try it again. Any thoughts on how to block all of the notifications when on FaceTime?

Is it safe to delete the FaceTime app? I'm on iPhone 7 v 15.3.1 , iPad OS 15.3.1 & MacMini v Monterey 12. I don't use FaceTime , is it safe to delete the app ? Is there any need to keep it as far as functionality ? Docs & data are 500 KB , I welcome the extra space . [Re-Titled by Moderator]

facetime When you're on FaceTime call with someone on iPhone is there anyway to hide the facetime icon in the top left?

Force restart the iPad.

You have not told us which model you have, so follow the instructions in "If your screen is black or frozen" here.

If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support
