Deleting unused MacOS applications

How to remove applications Chess, iBook and GarageBand instruments and music from MacBook Air running High Sierra (Garageband application is already gone from Applications folder, but the instruments and music is sucking up MBs)?

MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.13

Go to you HD/Library/Application Support folder and move the Garageband folder to the Trash bin. You'll be asked for your Admin password:

iBook can be deleted but you'll have to provide your Admin password when you drag it to the Trash bin.

However, Chess is part of the system (and only 8 MB in size) and can't be deleted.

For garageBand you may want to delete also the loops. You will find them in the folder

/Library/Audio/Apple Loops/

On my Mac the loops are using more storage than the application support for GarageBand.

You cannot delete applications that are installed as a part of the system. They are protected by the system integrity protection.
