I can't send emails from pages!! For work, I have sent countless documents directly to people via email through pages. Now, email is no longer even an option on the drop down menu of the "send a copy" tab. Can anyone please help me?

I have tried troubleshooting this every which way I can and nothing works. I am so behind in sending documents because it now requires multiple extra steps to send them. Most people do NOT want to use this new collaborate method with and apple ID and icloud account. Can I really not do this the much easier and simpler what that I used to?

In System Preferences : Extensions : Share menu panel, is Mail selected, and if not, can you select it? If the latter, then it will appear in your Send a Copy sub-menu after it is checked. If it is selected, or unselectable, then follow Apple's advice in the following article:

If Share options or Markup is missing after upgrading…

In that Apple article, you can launch Terminal from Dock : Launchpad : Other : Terminal. You can also triple-click on that scrollable entry to select it, then copy/paste into the Terminal — following with a return. The next Terminal prompt indicates that your are done, and you can quit Terminal.

Back in System Preferences : Extensions : Share Menu, either Mail will now be selected, or is selectable. Revisit your Pages Send a Copy sub-menu and see if Mail is now available.

Historically, if the Apple solution did not work, the most recent one that I provided would do the trick, as evidenced by numerous responses here over the last few years that it did. The only mail client that will work this way is Apple Mail.

Did you follow that last command-line exercise in Terminal with a boot into Safe Boot mode, and follow that with a normal reboot? That should not be necessary, but I added it as as an additional "just in case" gesture.

I am using macOS 10.14.4 and have not had to take any annoying measures to resolve Mail which appears on my Pages v8.0 Send a Copy sub-menu.

Then use a stronger detergent...

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -seed -domain local -domain system -domain user

Triple-click to select all of the above command, and then copy/paste into the Terminal as before. Press return. The next Terminal prompt means it is done. This time, reboot into Safe Boot mode (press and hold the shift key until the progress bar appears) , and then reboot normally. Safe boot will be much slower than a normal boot. Afterwards, revisit the System Preferences : Extensions : Share Menu and see if Mail is selected.

Next, check if Mail appears in the Send a Copy sub-menu in Pages.

I had the same issue and I think I just fixed it. Follow these instructions. Basically, my default mail reader had switched over from my apple mail to gmail. Switch it back to Apple Mail.

The "Mail" share icon will only show if you are using Apple Mail as your default mail client _and_ Apple Mail is set as the "Default Email Reader" in Apple Mail.

Open Apple Mail, and goto preferences, under the general tab, the first selection is "Default Email Reader". If this is set to Gmail, or Outlook, etc, it wont show in the share menu in Photos. The solution is to add your email account to Apple Mail, and change this Default Email Reader selection to Apple Mail. Then, it will show in the share menu in Photos!

This is frustrating to say the least, as many of us don't want to use Apple Mail. After you add your Gmail account to Apple Mail ( or whatever account you actually want to send the email's with when you share photos ) you can configure Apple Mail to automatically send messages, or do them manually if you want to avoid downloading all your Imap emails, etc.
