Here are the exact settings to change:
1 . Opening System Preferences on the Mac. This can best be done by click on the Apple menu in the upper-left corner then System Preferences.
2 . Go to Security & Privacy then click on the Privacy tab.
3 . Click on the lock and put in your admin password, so changes can be made.
4 . Click on Camera then look for Quicktime under Allow access to the apps below to your camera.
5 . Click on Microphone, then look for Quicktime again under Allow access to the apps below to your microphone.
