Is there another device other than the Griffin imic?

Is there another device other than the Griffin imic that would allow for audio input for Macbook Pro? analogue to digital. The imic is discontinued

what exact Mac /model /year /size /retina /touchbar is this ?


I did not think too highly of that Griffin imic.


Older machines have a analog/digital in/out ports


The port can be used to plug in an external microphone, audio device or recording equipment. Just plugging a device into the port doesn't make it active by default. You will have to choose Line In instead of the Internal Microphone in System Preferences
