You probably did agree, you just didn't notice it. When you set up a device Apple presents you with a bunch of screens with things for you to agree to and it was probably one of them that you didn't read and just clicked "agree". Very common these days.


Here's how to cancel -->

Manage your Apple Music membership - Apple Support -"Learn how to change from an Individual membership to a Family membership, turn off automatic renewal, or join Apple Music later." Turn off automatic renewal and your membership will finish at the end of the current subscription period. --> https://support.apple.com/HT204939


You still owe for the current period. You can ask Apple for a refund but they do have a "no refunds" policy for all App and iTunes Store purchases, and specifically for subscriptions.
